Really? No one has any comments about swimming costumes? I find that hard to believe.
Seriously, what would you recommend for those who's tummy sticks out further than their chest? (And I'm NOT talking pregnant ladies, who even in a bikini, look pretty hot.)
Ideas? Suggestions? Thoughts? Anyone....??

Well, maybe we're all thinking "Gee, i wear bikinis on the beach. Maybe i'm one of those people MWW is talking about. I go to gym, and look after myself, but am i really kidding myself - is it time to retire the bikini and wear a nice grown up one piece now I'm in my mid-40's?".
Seriously, I do wear a bikini, but I also own a very nice one piece for days when I just can't be bothered to suck it in for hours! LOL!
Motherwhoworks,
Whilst you are generally correct in your assumptions regarding summer swimwear, I fear that your views regarding children wearing bikinis aren't totally in keeping with modern views.
Kids wearing bikikis just isn't right! Most kids wearing bikinis which I have seen this summer are pre-pubescent! Bang a rash top on the little rug rats!
And guys - you're right - Speedos have a time and a place (usually a type of body too), however encouraging all men to wear boardies is also ill-thought out.
Some boardies extenuate beer-guts, some are too long and thus make the wearer look short and some are too short which make the wearer seem like they haven't been shopping since their 1976 Swimming Carnival!
Modern fashion dictates that a few centimetres above the knee is appropriate length, thus making the item 'swimming shorts', rather than boardies.
I'd love to hear your views regarding my thoughts.
OK, I am going to be brutely honest MWW. The topic isn't worth commenting on, nor is what fashion you or your friends wear to Bunnings. I suspect the same type of person you comment on at the beach in speedos are commenting on the stilletos in a hardware store. Can you get off the topics of what you wear and when ... and your opinion of what others wear. It is much more interesting when you do! Take no comment as it is ... but you asked for it.
Okay 3.40 anonymous, the net is a democracy - so what exactly would you like me to discuss?? Come on....don't be shy now.....
Ooops - apologies Anonymous 3.40 - that was for Anonymous 3.49.
But on 3.40's comment, yes, I'm inclined to agree. My rugrat wore a one-piece, chlorine resistant number. More disturbing was the number of really young girls only wearing bottoms.....!!
